Net metering and technical rules

  • Net metering is available under this scheme.

  • 1 kW–500 kW. Single DISCOM: MSPCL (Manipur State Power Company Ltd.).
  • Gross metering policy: MERC gross metering for >500 kW. PPA-based for utility-scale.
  • Hybrid policy: Manipur Solar + Hydro: Manipur has 13 rivers — solar + run-of-river micro-hydro hybrid for 24x7 power.
  • DISCOM requirements: MSPCL: Single DISCOM for all Manipur. Hill district remote areas: off-grid microgrids via DDUGJY.
