Net metering and technical rules

  • Net metering is available under this scheme.
  • Net metering policy: HERC (Rooftop Solar PV Systems) Regulations 2016 (amended 2023). 1 kW–500 kW net metering. Monthly net settlement. DISCOMs: DHBVN (Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam): Hisar, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Rohtak. UHBVN (Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam): Ambala, Panchkula, Panipat, Karnal, Sonipat.
  • Gross metering policy: HERC gross metering for >500 kW; feed-in tariff per HERC order.
  • Hybrid policy: Haryana solar + BESS pilot under Smart City initiative (Faridabad, Gurugram).
  • DISCOM requirements: DHBVN (PIN: 121xxx–126xxx — Faridabad, Gurugram, Mewat, Jhajjar, Rewari, Mahendragarh, Hisar, Fatehabad). UHBVN (PIN: 131xxx–136xxx — Ambala, Panchkula, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Panipat, Karnal, Sonipat).
